Ever had a week that feels overwhelming before it even starts? You know the type—calendar packed tight, tough meetings lined up, deadlines looming everywhere. Here's a powerful strategy to shift from dread to delight: it's called Joy Stacking, and it's an essential part of crafting a Joy Plan that actually works.

Joy Stacking means intentionally scheduling joyful moments at the beginning or end of your days (think of them as joy-filled bookends 📚). When you stack joy into your days, you’re proactively boosting your emotional resilience, reducing stress, and increasing your overall happiness—science confirms it!

This week, I stacked my days with joy by reconnecting with friends who always lift my spirits. Tonight, I’m ending my Friday with a meetup with an MSW classmate I haven't seen in years—it’s been incredible!

Here are 3 simple ways you can start joy stacking today as part of your own Joy Plan:

🌅 Morning Ritual – Enjoy a favorite beverage or peaceful meditation before diving into your day.
